How long should I try dating before the rejection becomes too much to deal with?

I constantly see people say “I got rejected a hundred times. But the 101st person just happened to say yes and now we’ve been together for a year!” and stuff like that. Now I won’t lie that I maybe don’t put myself out there day by day and swipe through countless women on Hinge and Tinder like some dudes do…because it’s too depressing to never get a dm back. Even when I go to in person dating events and try my genuine best, just talking to women and having regular conversation, I’ve never gotten a yes when I ask if they’d like to meet up somewhere sometime.

I’m 30 and don’t feel like doing this for the next 10+ years. I feel like it’d bring me down even lower and I’d just grow more bitter and frustrated. I’ve also never even been in a relationship to begin with so don’t even know why I’m bothering. So how long should I give it before calling it quits and resigning to being alone?
