Using Indian Clubs for Shoulder Mobility Old School Method That Actually Worked

I picked up a pair of Indian clubs a few months ago mostly because I thought they looked kinda cool. I honestly didn't expect much. My shoulders always felt tight after lifting, especially after bench and overhead press days, so I figured I'd give them a shot.

The first few sessions were rough. The movements felt awkward and I kept messing up the patterns. After sticking with it for about 10 minutes a few times each week, things started to click.

The biggest thing I noticed wasn't more strength. It was how much smoother my shoulders felt. Warming up for upper body workouts got way easier, and I wasn't hearing all those little clicks and pops as much. Reaching overhead also felt more natural.

One thing I learned is to start with really light clubs. Don't let your ego jump straight to heavier ones because it's more about control than muscle. Slow circles and clean technique made a much bigger difference than trying to swing fast.

If your shoulders always feel stiff from lifting or sitting at a desk all day, these are worth checking out. They're definitely old school, but sometimes the old stuff sticks around for a reason.

Kinda wish I had tried them sooner instead of assuming they were just some random vintage fitness gadget.
