Not to say that they're all bad; I myself used to always say "u" over "you," "ur" over "your," things like that. But then sometimes I see someone take a word, and then remove the vowels in it. And then they just do that a whole lot. The first image (which is funny as shit by the way) is a good example of what I mean.

I understand shortening things like "message" or "because," cuz those words are pretty long. But then I look at this image and see this guy shortening "can" and "could." It makes no sense to me why you'd do that. The whole point of shortening "you" to "u" and stuff like that is because those words are used quite commonly. But I think these words aren't commonly used enough to justify them being shortened.

The word should either be A. used very commonly, or B. a long word, for it to be shortened. (Also the guy in the image did it like 4 times in a single sentence. That's too much.)

There's also the acronyms, which aren't as bad, but sometimes I see a string of them, and I think to myself, "someone from 5 years ago would have no idea what you are saying." For example, "icl ts pmo." Not only is this not grammatically correct, but also, your sentence shouldn't be fully composed of acronyms.

The second image is clearly a joke, but there are people who genuinely speak like that.

I'm not as passionate about this as I am about the previous thing, but still, it gets to a point frfr.

Also, this one's much smaller, but I don't really get why some people say "bc" to shorten the word "because," when we already have "cuz" to work with. It's not as bad as the other stuff though.

If you criticize my takes, I probably won't respond because I'm a coward who is afraid of downvotes.

I hate the overutilization of shortening words/acronyms
