camera/equiptment help??

Hi! New to the sub so I apologize in advance.
I am a 22 y/o hairstylist who wants to get more into video recording and editing etc. I also do all of the social media for the salon I work at. I recently have been thinking about buying a secondhand phone off of Facebook marketplace or something to have a set device for recording photos and editing. I do all my edit editing on Instagram edit, on my personal phone and I honestly prefer it over using a computer for editing.

My question is, do we think it would be worth it? I have been looking at iPhone 14 and 15s on the secondhand market, but I don’t want to spend a fortune. My boyfriend has also mentioned that I could get a camera specifically for family as well, but I have no idea where to start in this world.
