Guild Wars 2 Laptop Suggestion

I’m loving Guild Wars 2 right now, but it runs atrociously on my 2020 MacBook Air. I’m debating whether to upgrade to a MacBook Pro now or hold off and buy a dedicated lightweight gaming laptop instead. Ideally I’m looking for something with good value. What would you all recommend?

Template details:
Budget: ~$1,000 (but flexible if it’s worth it)
Country: USA
Use Case: Mostly Guild Wars 2, but I’d also like to play modern WoW and other PC games over the next few years.
Preferred Specs: 14”
Notes: If at that budget a more expensive MacBook pro with CrossOver is better. I can just do that instead, but I don’t know much about gaming on Mac.
