How to remove screen protector from my MacBook Pro m1

I have been using my MacBook for the past 4 to 5 years with a screen protector. Last week, I was traveling, and after the trip, when I opened my laptop, I saw white lines all over the screen. I thought the screen was broken, but today when I opened it, there were no white lines.
I think it happened because the screen protector got pressed while it was in my bag, which caused the lines to appear. The issue now is that I can’t able to remove the screen protector because it’s stuck to the screen. What should I do now?
