Hi there! I’m having an issue with Virtual Game Cards with a Switch Lite that doesn’t work anymore and a new Nintendo Switch. Anyone able to help?
I’ve had my switch lite for about 6 years, it broke maybe a year ago. My ex boyfriend said his cat spilt coffee on it when we lived together, now it’ll turn on for one second to show the Nintendo logo and immediately turn off. It doesn’t matter if it’s charging or not, it was fully charged before this happened.
Now, I bought my Nintendo switch a couple weeks ago and I bought some game cartridges with it without thinking I’d have any issue getting the games I bought and downloaded to the switch lite if I have the same account. Then, I learned about the virtual game cards and how they need to be transferred from the originally downloaded device.
My question comes in at, what am i supposed to do if the original switch lite i purchased and downloaded games on, isn’t able to turn on long enough for the transfer?
To make it worse, I’m not sure how this goes with it either. I bought a new game on my new nintendo switch, a game that wasn’t out when the switch lite was working and I never purchased or downloaded it on the switch lite before my purchase of the game on my new nintendo switch. Sorry, I know that’s confusing, but I’m also confused by the whole situation and I haven’t found much help on nintendos help site.
Anyone have any clue of what I should do? Am i just doomed to never be able to buy games on the switch and I’ll have to buy physical cartridges?
