Pc build opinions for vr sim racing

I want to get into VR sim racing. I currently have a 9950x3d. 64gb of ddr5 ram and a strix 3090 that I’ll be upgrading once the steam frame comes out

Is the 5090 worth it for vr sim racing or can I get away with a 5080. I’ll spend the loot if the difference in immersion is noticeable between what the 5080 can provide vs the 5090
