24, £50k + commission. How should I budget and save?

Removed

I grew up in a working class family and have never learned how to manage money. Friends seem to have savings, then I'm always in debt! (To family, <£3k). I'm paycheck to paycheck, it feels messy and has been a serious cause of stress at times. I need to change this before I turn 25 and on the new salary.

My rent is £900 w/ bills but I’m moving soon. Given my new income (commission is ~30k), how much should I realistically be spending on rent, and what percentage should I be saving each month? LISA? Stocks? Do I get a credit card??? A bloody Amex or whatever?

I don't want kids until I'm at least 30 and I know they're expensive. In London, I don't feel the need to learn to drive. And I have absolutely NO IDEA about / desire to buy a house. I still feel like a big kid.

Any general advice for someone trying to build good financial habits would be appreciated. I don't know my take home yet. Thank you!!
