Putting an animal down for biting someone is an evil thing to do

I work at a clinic and a woman came in for a dog bite, she specifically told me that it wasn’t that big of a deal and was just worried about infection. She then proceeded to tell me that she called animal control and hopes the dog gets “punished”, I can only imagine what that means.

I understand the concept of dog bite PTSD, and I’m not saying that you need to keep the dog, but to take it into your own hands like that is not “noble”.
