Solo controlled - Multiplayer runs?

What are your thoughts on having the option to play a multiplayer game (ex: controlling 2 characters at once) as a solo player? That gives the option of experiencing multiplayer scaling and cards, by yourself.

For example, you pick 2 player mode, pick out ironclad and defect, and start. You can have an option at the top (near the character icon) or a key bind to swap between controlling each other.

Personally I would love to try this, modders please attempt it!
