No,The Clans Were Not Bound By The Law Not To Help The Wen Remnants !

Discussion

I saw this old post

https://www.reddit.com/r/MoDaoZuShi/comments/1hzvwg2/this_is_why_the_clans_condemned_the_wen_remnants/

and I was completely vexed.

-I heavily disagreed with the Ops take about Mdzs being historical fiction ( it doesn't take place in a specific dynasty or era).

-Secondly, trying using historical context to try to explain why the characters didn't help Wei Wuxian even if they knew the Wen Remnants were innocent goes against one of the core themes of the novel,

That the Cultivation World is extremely hypocritical and corrupt, they don't care about righteousness, despite preaching it all the time.

Not to mention They are ruled by mob mentality.

In short they only care about power. What's right is what is convenient that the mob decides is.

-Thirdly,Saying that the Leaders couldn't help because of the law is wrong,we see multiple times throughout the book that people don't care about the state of the Wen Remnants because they deeply despise them, including Jiang Cheng.

His clan was in a good state by that point,so saying that he was in a Vulnerable position doesn't work,he could have done the bare minimum and told Nie Mingjue why he owed the Wen Siblings, but chose to add fuel to the fire instead.

(Jin Guangyao tells Jiang Cheng that the sects were jealous of his success,so they drove a wage between them. Implying that things would have turned out differently if JC had supported WWX)

Nobody was obligated to take part in the Seige, but they all choose to participate anyway !

I already made a post, but I feel that one didn't properly address the core issues properly so I made a new one.
