Education changed my life. I hope I can change someone else’s through education.

I wanted to take a moment to share my journey and why I recently started something for my soul and not money.
I come from very humble beginnings. I was born and brought up in a Tier-3 town and spent most of my childhood studying in small local schools.

When I reached Class 8, my father somehow managed to save enough to move me to a better school. I completed my Class 10 there, but for Classes 11 and 12, I had to join a government college.
I was among the school toppers in Class 10 and one of the district toppers in Class 12. Most students with similar ranks moved to bigger cities for JEE coaching. I couldn’t. Our financial situation didn’t allow it.

Even without coaching, I managed to crack JEE and get into a top engineering college. Throughout those years, finances were always the biggest constraint, but scholarships covered ~50% of my entire college expenses, so that helped. I became the first woman in my family to graduate.

Things slowly started changing after that. I got placed in a good company after engineering, and two years later, I cracked CAT and made it to IIM Ahmedabad. Looking back, it definitely wasn’t an easy journey, but every struggle was worth it.

I’ve been working in the corporate world ever since and have been fortunate to do well in my career. But deep down, I always felt I wanted to do something more meaningful.

A few weeks ago, I created a WhatsApp community where we talk about personal finance. I was also able to convince 3 of my friends to join me in this quest .

My goal is to improve financial literacy, especially for people from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. These are people who often don’t have easy access to practical financial guidance. Over time, I also hope to build something meaningful in this space.

I’m not selling a course or a product. I genuinely enjoy simplifying finance and giving back in whatever way I can. If you think this could help you or someone you know, I’d love for you to join. If the subreddit rules don’t allow links in the post, I’m happy to share it in the comments or via DM.
Either way, thank you for taking the time to read my story.

I hope it reminds someone that where you start doesn’t determine where you can end up. ❤️
