Recently hired

Hi yall I’ve been recently hired to be at the bakery. I’m currently a CSA and got offered a position the same day of my interview. What I was going to ask was that my interviewer said something bout background checking me. Now I’m confused because I’m a partner. Is that part of the process of going to another department? I still haven’t gotten the consent form for the background check.
