Hours later, we turn through the old farm gate and arrive at a sandstone farmhouse that's been standing since the 1920s. Outside, frost blankets the fields. Inside, a fire crackles in the hearth, two glasses of red wine wait on the table, and the world suddenly feels a million miles away.
