I landed two B4 summer internships at 17 years old. AMA.

I began my freshman year of college in 2024 at a small regional university in the US. I was a double major in accounting and political science. Though I admittedly knew very little about accounting at the time, I had done enough preliminary research to know that landing a summer internship was a top priority for me. I was also rather ambitious. I heard that the Big 4 was most prestigious, and so that became my goal.

My university is not a target-school, and I had not seen hide nor hair of any Big 4 recruiter on campus, even at our annual career fair. At the time, I didn’t even realize that meeting recruiters was a typical part of the job search process. In late September, I simply applied online, to summer internships at two different Big 4 firms. Within a week or two, I had interviews with both firms. Another week later, I had internship offers at Firm 1 for the summer of 2025, and Firm 2 for the summer of 2026. Ask me anything!
