Can Thor even physically harm Mahito?

physical body is merely an extension of his soul. To deal lasting damage, an attacker must possess the ability to perceive and directly target the contours of the soul. Because Thor relies on brute physical force and elemental damage, his attacks would not really do anything towards Mahito, or maybe Thor being divine he has some sort of protection?
