Should I open a second bank account? What are the benefits?

I've had friends get these offers from different banks, its that thing where you send an invite to another person, then that person has to make an account, make like one or 2 transactions and only after that do you both receive a certain sum of money. Revolut, for example, is emailing me about this even now, same ol' "You have 7 days until the offer ends" but its been like this for years now.

My brother told me to not do it and some more people have told me that once you open the account its very hard to close it, in the scenario I was only opening it to get the offer money.

But are there any benefits to having 2 bank accounts?
