Scary.
So I have a huge fear of contact dermatitis and acrylate allergies. I get my nails done at a salon because I figure at home would be risky. So I recently got my nails done and didnt love the look, but accepted them for what they were and figured its ok I will go back in a few weeks and do something different. Well a few days after having them done i noticed my thumb specifically didnt feel as hardened and their was an air bubble surfacing. So i decided Im gonna file these down and paint over them (placed an order online for the uv lamp and good quality gel polish and all the things i would need). As I was filing these salon nails down i see patches of the gel overlay that look very much uncured…I’m about to crash out. I have to remove the whole overlay- its just been raw this entire time…I had no clue and too much faith in the pros. I dont leave negative reviews but i called the salon just to let them know what occurred so they can be more careful moving forward- i think I am done going to nail salons, maybe the DIY route is safer?
