I hope Pepi (or Wright) starts anyway

It would somewhat uphold the integrity of the game (The red card was harsh and Balo missing a game unjust, but if you somehow think a corrupt POTUS calling in a favor to a corrupt FIFA President isn’t corrupt, then I don’t know how to help you).
-
We shouldn’t need Balogun in order to beat Belgium.
-
We still get the advantage of the overturned red card because now Belgium have to spend time game planning for Balogun and we would have Balogun on the bench.
-
Poch has been preparing the team to play without Balogun for the last few days and that preparation plus the element of surprise would help mitigate the loss of Balogun up front.
-
It would negate annoying complaints about favoritism from fanbases that don’t like it when FIFA corruptly favors other teams.
Flame away, bootlickers.
