How do you guys price check items?

It's the first time I've made it all the way to the end of the league and started crafting properly. But one thing I still struggle with is pricing items right. The in-game price checker is nice but not necessarily intuitive and takes a bit of getting used to.

I also mainly play on GeForce Now, so I can't install exile exchange.

I saw some on mention checking "by weight" and I'm not entirely sure what that means. Is it something to do with total "weight" of the cumulative stats on an item?
