AudioCleaner, Reddit, and a lesson about where support conversations belong

Hey everyone,

A while ago, we added Reddit links on the AudioCleaner website because we hoped more users would come here to discuss the product, share use cases, and tell us what was working well or badly.

What actually happened was a little different.

A lot of users who were running into technical issues came to Reddit to comment about their problems. That is completely understandable. When something does not work as expected, people want a place to talk about it.

But over time, this created a skewed picture: Reddit became mostly a collection of edge cases and support issues. Then AI summaries/search answers started picking up those negative posts and making it sound like AudioCleaner itself was simply a bad product.

So we want to clarify something important.

AudioCleaner is an AI-powered product. Like most AI audio tools, it performs best on normal, common audio-cleaning scenarios. It can save a lot of time on standard recordings, background noise, voice cleanup, and similar everyday cases.

But there are extreme cases that AI models still cannot handle well: heavily distorted audio, clipped files, very unusual noise patterns, corrupted recordings, or files where the signal is already too damaged. In those cases, the result may not meet expectations.

Because of this, we have decided to remove the website prompts that direct users to Reddit. Product support issues are better handled through our support channels, where we can actually look into the file and help properly.

That said, if AudioCleaner has worked well for you, or if it saved you time on a real project, we would really appreciate it if you shared your honest experience here.

Not asking for fake praise. Just real feedback from people who used the product and had a decent experience.

Thanks, folks. We are still improving AudioCleaner, and your feedback genuinely helps.
