Welp, there goes the season.
Seriously though, how often are those things actually right?
Let's just win a damn playoff series first. Baby steps.
Can we just close out one fucking Game 5???
Hot damn reading those comments is going to give me an aneurysm.
Holy shit. It was way worse than I ever could have imagined. I've never seen the words "saber-nerds" written so often with such animosity.
They're just jealous.
Source: NERD POWER!
I know. I knew they were going to be bad, but I had to look at them anyways. Now I wish I hadn't.
Oh man, I don't put any stock in what that dude thinks, but it got me feeling that baseball buzz again...
When do pitchers and catchers report again??
I hate winter.
In 37 days but who's counting?
Yeah I didn't have any less faith in them before this prediction, it's just nice to see them considered favorites before the season starts by someone outside of the Bay Area.
Directly from the comment section:
" the A's just don't have enough firepower in their lineup. The AL West will be even more competitive than last season "
Where have I heard this before?
This seems a little early. Rosters will change a lot before the season even starts. If the Rangers get Tanaka, that could change these predictions very quickly.
They were predicted last year too
Shit.
Meh, at least if it was ESPN predicting the A's winning the Pennant you'd know the Armageddon was nigh.
It's nice but it means literally nothing.
Jinx schminx. Starting the season with high expectations and the feeling that you can truly hang with anybody can only be a good thing in my mind
I don't think this guy understands that the Angels and A's are in the same division. If the first 2 items happen, the Angels will win the division IMO. Maybe the only AL West team in the postseason.
Wait.. people.... finally... think the A's are good.... in the preseason?
We have almost reached the Mountaintop, ladies and gentlemen!
The only downside as an SI subscriber for 7 years they are rarely right about anything baseball preseason.
GOD DAMN IT WHY DOES NATIONAL MEDIA HAVE TO RECOGNIZE US
well to be fair, it's only one guy (so far).
