Unreachable beauty
I’m utterly lost, drifting in a starry-eyed daze, my thoughts unable to find an answer, how have I not fallen in love with you. I feel as if I’m losing myself in your presence, your hold over me inescapable, your imperfections dazzling, my heart aches at the very thought. Yet my very being denies me interaction, moments such as these deserve to be written, eternally stored.
As imperfect as you are, my soul is burdened with guilt, how have I not recognised you before? You deny me the choice of entry, instead I’m forced to recognise you as already complete. Your maturity holds two faces without having to choose between them, far above anything even perfection seems a far cry away from you. My eyes soak up your warmth, a beauty that neither controls you nor lets you free. My starry-eyed daze slowly weakens, and I realise the two separate worlds we are in, one that neither you nor I chose, in moments like these I’m in love.
(this poetry kinda doesnt have a format because its my first time writing poetry and i wanted to make something original, its directed toward nature and my reaction to it, my goal was to kinda wrap a poem about apreiciating nature into something romantic)
