How to install Wordrop Beta when macOS blocks it (3-minute fix)
If you received the Wordrop Beta link, dragged it to Applications, and got hit with:
"Wordrop" cannot be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.
You didn't do anything wrong. macOS Gatekeeper is just blocking it because we aren't on the App Store yet.
Here is the 10-second fix:
- Open System Settings > Privacy & Security
- Scroll down to the Security section. You'll see a message about Wordrop being blocked.
- Click Open Anyway.
- Enter your Mac password and click Open.
That's it. You now have access to our ambient Spaced Repetition app for developers.
Pro-tip for beta testers: Your 30-day trial is completely free. We just ask that you use the [SEND FEEDBACK] button to tell us what sucks and what works. Also, you can export your word list at any time — your data is 100% yours.
Thanks for testing Wordrop!
