14 months outside UAE and my Residence visa still valid can i come as a tourist?
I recently moved to the United States and I’m planning to visit the UAE this August for two weeks.
When I checked my immigration status, my UAE residence visa is still showing as valid, but it is set to expire on July 28, 2026. From what I understand, an expired residence visa isn’t cancelled immediately and there is a 30-day grace period.
I’m a Filipino passport holder and I also have a U.S. Green Card, so I understand I may be eligible for the UAE’s visa on arrival for Green Card holders.
In this situation, can I enter the UAE as a visitor without having any issues at immigration, even though my previous residence visa has expired but may not have been formally cancelled yet?
