Dream about my internal world via someone who is my "opposite"

I keep having dreams about this straight guy who's life is in disarray. He's Caucasian, fit, & in his mid to late thirties. I keep seeing him wearing this like army green shirt as a metaphor for how "straight" & hungry for hierarchy he is. His relationships are in breakdown. The women he dates/sees/hooks up with are over him. He has guy friends who are trying to be there for him but they're over him also. He has a job but is barely hanging onto that. He's hanging on by a thread in almost all areas of his life. It's very empty & sad. He's going through the motions, but everything feels so hollow. He feels like he's suffocating. Clearly my subconscious is telling me something about myself but idk what exactly. For context, I'm a gay 30 year old male. I couldn't be more different than this guy, but in dream theory everyone represents part of you. I do feel very depressed & empty despite having some connections (no sexual or romantic partners though).Longshot here, but any thoughts? I'm very distressed/depressed & I'm curious what this dream is saying about it.
