i lied and called in sick

i decided to call in today because there’s a couch at a thrift store i saw yesterday that i did not buy but couldn’t stop thinking about. i kept thinking about how disappointed i would be if i went after work and someone beat me to it. it’s a comfy unique blue couch that would fit perfect in my apartment.

when i called in i had to tell my favorite manager who is so sweet and i could hear her get sad </3. i hope she doesn’t hold it against me. and i think she would lowkey understand if i could tell her. i hope she doesn’t have a hard day and that we are still friends.
