I did everything right, fixed her career, and provided stability. She still walked away. I hit a massive financial milestone today, and I just feel completely crushed.

venting/ranting

I’m a logical guy, mid-30s, doing very well in my career. When we met, she was struggling with her path. I stepped in. I spent countless hours coaching her for interviews, helping her build her resume, and planning out our entire future together—trips, milestones, the works. I thought if I just provided enough value, made her life easier, and was the ultimate reliable guy, it would be enough.

She left anyway. She said she didn't want the future I planned out for us. Today, I finally bought the dream car I’ve been saving for. I thought it would make me feel successful and untouchable and give me a boostup. Instead, sitting in the driver's seat by myself, I just felt a crushing weight on my chest. I thought I could buy my way to happiness and bulletproof myself from needing anyone. Why do I feel like I lost the game when I played every single hand perfectly? Cannot accept the fact that everything was fine till i was the covert provider, but the second i let myself loose, everything with me became a problem.
