Link between GERD and CD?

I’ve noticed symptoms seem to coincide with GERD and CD flares. Consistent days with indigestion and then looser bowel movements and discomfort. Anyone else see a trend there? I know there are clinical studies about long term PPI use triggering worse gut microbiome but anything else folks have stumbled on that relates the two?
