Advice?
I'm a cis f and my wife is mtf. She started transitioning about 7 months ago. It's been incredibly difficult to navigate. Prior to finding out, she kept being distant. She wanted to separate (not a mutual agreement) and that's been hard to go through on top of the difficult feelings. She's been actively not talk to me much. That's been incredibly frustrating as I've repeatedly said I need communication especially since we aren't living in the same place. We had a talk a couple weeks ago to share feelings and where we both are since everything started (been a much needed conversation and felt great to listen and understand each other's perspective). Since then, the communication has become almost nonexistent. I'm reaching out to try to initiate and get nothing in return. I feel like I'm on the sidelines and waiting for when she wants to talk to me or acknowledge I still exist. A lot of the time, when I do get a response, she never asks me about me.
I feel lost and confused. What else can I do to try to make this better. It's so draining on myself and feel a 1 sided relationship. I'm in individual therapy and have shared the same feelings there as well. We have couples therapy as well and that's hit or miss and always her her her.
I do self sacrifice, it's how I am. Sometimes feel like that is being taken advantage of. I'm putting myself first and enjoying parts of being alone. I miss my partner and feel like the distance itself isn't helping and inevitably waiting for the other shoe to drop. She wanted to separate and waiting for her to decide she wants to get a divorce and it again be decided without a conversation between us 😔
