Kelly's Postpartum Swelling
I'll start with the necessary disclaimer that no one should feel pressured to "bounce back" after pregnancy, and retaining weight around the stomach for a while after birth is 100% normal. Even if you are the fittest woman alive burning 1000s of calories, the extra material in the abdomen is much more than fat, and it takes a while to stabilize/flush itself out/whatever.
This is not about looking trim pp for aesthetics.
So with that disclaimer out of the way, I was a little shocked to see Kelly's post-baby bump is seemingly still taut, and around the same size as I would say is typical for 1 week postpartum. But it's been about 3 months.
I have only seen the postpartum process in my sisters (and instagrammers lol), so maybe some moms can chime in if it looks normal. I know there is a lot of variability with how women's bodies handle pregnancy differently. But for context, I am used to this or this as what the postpartum letdown looks like. It seems like after a few weeks, there is still some extra padding around the stomach, but it becomes more squishy rather than taut like how it is around 1 week pp. Swelling at 3 months seems like a warning sign.
I am curious if Kelly's given herself an infection by washing her c-section wounds with dirty well water... especially concerning given her distrust for doctors/medical advice. We all saw how swollen she got during the pregnancy itself without bothering to seek medical advice (pre-eclampsia has entered the chat).
