Need to place all Eggs before Chapter 5?

I wanted to replay Chapter 4 to get all five Eggs (I got the first three) and get the dialogue confirming I have them all in Chapter 5, but for the life of me I can't remember whether I placed the first two Eggs in Hometown on my original playthroughs. As far as I can tell there's no way to know for sure whether I did, and I'm on Switch so no viewing or editing my game files.

I know the Chapter 5 Egg has dialogue for if you have or haven't got all the previous Eggs yet, but it's not clear if you need to place the first two in order to get the completed dialogue. Has anyone here got that dialogue without placing the Eggs in the flower shop/Sans's store? At the start of Chapter 4 it shows me that I've collected 3 Eggs on the school desk, so I know I found them. I just wanna know if anyone got the finished dialogue in Chapter 5 without placing them, so that I don't spend a long time replaying every Chapter if I don't have to (I already did two more full playthroughs just before Chapter 5).
