No Display on Boot, Unable to Figure Out What Failed

Help (General)

Hello all, sometime last week while in a game menu my computer froze up and crashed. Since then it has not been sending a signal to my displays and on boot, the CPU debug light flashes for a bit before the vga light turns on solid.

I believe the crash happened around the time I plugged a controller into my pc (official Xbox controller and a micro usb cord that I regularly use with this pc) but I doubt that part is relevant to the crash.

Regarding the displays, I have one that uses a display port and one that uses hdmi. Neither monitor receives a signal from the graphics card, and the hdmi monitor still didn’t receive a signal when I unseated my gpu and tried it in the mobo’s integrated card, which is why I’ve had trouble figuring out if the issue is my board, my cpu, my gpu, or even my psu.

I also am not sure if this is noteworthy, but my monitor does give me a “no source found” message when I disconnect the display port cable from the gpu, so the monitor at least recognizes that it’s plugged in to something.

As far as troubleshooting that I have already tried, I’ve reset the cmos, removed cpu and inspected for damage, removed and reinserted most of the components from my mb to inspect for any physical damage, and tried using my mb’s onboard graphics card multiple times, with the gpu seated and unseated. All the hardware physically responds to the pc powering on (lights, fans, etc.) but my monitors do not receive a signal.

Besides all that, everything in the computer seems fine. It was a bit dusty but I’ve since cleaned it out, no signs of physical damage, and all my fans and lights turn on normally on boot. The pc had been working very reliably up until the crash, and I haven’t made any recent changes to the computer, hardware or software. I did most of the troubleshooting at the end of last week and and left the computer alone and unplugged over the past weekend.

If anyone has experienced an issue like this, please let me know the right direction to be looking for an answer, I admittedly haven’t had too much time to look into this and I think I’ll be plugging some of my parts to another machine sometime this week to see what isn’t working, but I’d love if I had an idea of what actually failed in my computer before I had to take it all apart.

Thank you for bearing with my long post, and thank you especially to anyone that can help me get back on sts2 asap lol
