44M Looking for connection and understanding with 34-45F

Hey! How's it goin'?

I'll just jump right in. I feel like it's difficult to find someone who matches the passion I have for my interests and hobbies. That sounds pretentious. But, it's not intended to be a put down.

Most people watch movies and listen to music. But, it's been hard for me to find someone who is actually able to talk about those things beyond "it was good, it was bad, it was funny, it was dumb." Not everyone needs to be able to expand on those thoughts, and it's not at all a sign of one's intelligence, but I want someone who can expand on those things.

Art doesn't need to be the basis of every conversation but, I consume movies and music to an extreme degree so it is something that would come up quite often.

Some of my current favorite music: (indie-emo/punk/melodic hardcore/60s-90s music) hot water music, emperor x, pool kids, joyce manor, samiam, the get up kids

Some of my favorite movies: (indie movies, drama, horror, coming of age) E.T., Bride of Frankenstein, Harold and Maude, Talk Radio

Some recent favorites: Marshmallow, The Big Chill, Chaperone, Sunfish

I'm a pretty solitary person. I mostly prefer it. But, it is nice to have someone to talk with. I mostly watch movies, listen to music, and go to 2-6 concerts a month (last show: Paul Simon. next show: American Football).

Looking for someone who is aged 34-45 who has shares similar interests and passion, is liberal in their political beliefs, and has time to talk.
