How do you ask for Google reviews and does it work?

I think I've figured out a better way to ask customers for Google reviews and built a tool around the idea. I've been testing it with a few local businesses and they are getting good results.

Carpet cleaning looks like an industry where reviews are important for building trust, especially with potential new customers. Would you agree?

Do any of you use a tool to help you get more Google reviews, or do you handle it manually, or do you just wait for reviews to appear naturally?
