Nobody takes my transition seriously?

Discussion

I am a binary man with plans to medically transition in the future which I've made clear to all of my friends practically since the start.

All my friends are pretty progressive but none take me seriously.

They all assume I'm never going to take hormones and make weird faces when I mention the effects of testosterone when talking about my future.

They act confused when I mention balding or facial hair and always feel the need to remind me that it's "impossible" because I'm not on testosterone currently, as if I don't know what state my body is in.

I know my dysphoria is probably making me interpret things as hostile but it really does feel like I'm being constantly "put in place" by cis men/women or non-transitioning trans people.

The only person who understands is my best friend (they/them), who sees me and talks about me as a man, even when talking about our futures.

Not a vent post, I was moreso interested in the sociological part of it.

Does anyone have similar experiences?

It reminds me of the terf rethoric that trans men are just "confused girls" and will eventually grow out of it, even if in this case I would call it a subconscious bias, almost, that is present even in a lot of progressive spaces.
