What are this sub's thoughts on Makoto Yuki (the male protagonist)?

Specifically, how do you feel about him in comparison to Kotone?

I love him but I feel that his portrayal in the movies is what's doing most of the heavylifting. Without that, he'd be just another self-insert protagonist with a cool backstory, I guess.

What makes me overall give it to Kotone is how they play off of his dialogue choices and give hers a more excitable and sassy flavour to them, making her personality feel all the more distinct. I also just love seeing SEES being a lot closer with her in charge.

TL;DR Makoto good but Kotone better
