Prayer for: Forgiveness: To forgive others and receive God's forgiveness.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You with humble hearts, grateful for Your endless mercy, grace, and love. Thank You for the forgiveness that is available to us through Jesus Christ. Your Word reminds us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Lord, we ask that You search our hearts and reveal any sin, bitterness, resentment, or unforgiveness that may be hidden within us. Help us to honestly confess our shortcomings before You and receive the forgiveness that You freely offer. Wash us clean and restore us to a right relationship with You.

Father, we also pray for the strength to forgive those who have hurt us. We know that forgiveness is not always easy, especially when the wounds run deep. Yet You have called us to forgive others just as You have forgiven us. By the power of Your Holy Spirit, help us release anger, bitterness, and the desire for revenge. Fill our hearts instead with compassion, mercy, and love.

Lord Jesus, teach us to walk in freedom by letting go of past offenses. Heal every hurt, mend every broken relationship according to Your will, and give us the courage to extend grace even when it is difficult. May our lives reflect the same forgiveness that You demonstrated on the cross when You prayed, "Father, forgive them."

We thank You that through Your forgiveness we are made new. Help us to live each day with clean hearts, clear consciences, and a deeper love for You and for others. May we be peacemakers who bring Your healing and reconciliation wherever we go.

We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ.
