Backup - Reverse Light Question - Are your lights useless?

The backup lights (reverse lights) on my Gravity are pretty much worthless. They are, without a doubt, the weakest, most useless backup lights of any vehicle I have ever owned or driven. I want to know if others have the same issue or if this is just mine? If it is just mine, I will try to get it resolved. It is is common, I will just add it to the "why did you do it like this?" list.
