Question for WLW : how to approach a girl?(first time liking a girl)

I recently met a girl through a friend group , and I found her really cute. She looks gay, but I am not entirely sure if she is. We talked briefly and exchanged socials but she seemed a bit shy. I am really interested in her and want to text her, but I am not quite sure what to say or do. This is actually the very first time I have ever felt interested in a girl.
