What do parents think about their kids who aren’t smart?

I just graduated my senior year of high school and my last junior and senior year most of my ap scores were very bad, like 2s and 3s. I’ve never gotten any 5s and just one 4.

I feel so guilty, I want to be a better daughter, hopefully college has more in store for me but I still feel horrible and I know my dad is upset with me

He won’t tell me straight to my face, he says “it’s okay you’ll do better next time” but I know by his tone, his energy that he’s angry with me

I am trying my hardest but I still feel dumb
