FCW system removal

Has anyone removed the system? I have a 2015 limited that has the system in the “old” location. Guess Jeep learned their lesson and moved it on the ‘16s. Anyway. i wanted to add a front crash bar or a new metal bumper. But nothing is compatible with what I have.

I went to dealership and its $1300 to move the sensor. So my question is can I remove the sensor or deactivate the system and still have the car drive fine. I know there is a way to “turn it off” but that resets after power is turned off from the car.

This isnt end all be all. If i cant get the build i want its not that big a deal.
