Planning on applying at TAFE (Diploma of Renewable Energy Engineering)

I have a degree on Bachelor's in Science in Information Technology from the Philippines. What are your opinions on me applying for a diploma at TAFE. My pathway is from TAFE to UNI, after finishing TAFE, I'll be applying for a Bachelors in WSU. Since I have a degree in the Philippines, is this a good choice or should I apply straight for another degree?
