14 or 16?

hi again, this is the 2° post i do about the navel piercing, sorry! so I was wondering what needle gage is correct. i have 14g and 16g needles and i see everyone use the 14g one, but my jewerly is the size of a 16g needle. i was wondering what happens if I use the 16g? is its gonna cause me problems for the healing?
