Welp! Did I permanently damage the bathroom wall? Tips?

I just recently moved in to an apartment with a bathroom that has a dark brown (plastic) wall panel for the first time. I used my usual Super Magic clean liquid to clean the bathroom. I never had problems using this product in my old place, but well, the old place has all white walls, so I never really noticed having this problem before.

After cleaning and getting the bathroom dried, the dark brown wall ended up with white streaks like in this photo. When the wall is wet, these white streaks are not visible. Thinking it might just be so limescale or soap scum, I tried dousing with water and gently scrubbing with a soft sponge, then a melamine sponge, to no avail. The other adjacent white walls have no problem that I can see.

Did I permanently damage the wall? Any tips how it can be restored? Is it better I contact the property management for an assessment and fix?
