ENIC NARIC attestation

I have been accepted to a masters program at University of Montpellier 3 Paul Valéry for the rentrée 2026. I have just started receiving information for enrollment. I am a non EU international student.

In the information, they stated I would need an ENIC NARIC certificate / attestation de comparabilité of my US diploma :

“Etant possesseur d'un diplôme étranger, et comme cela était spécifié sur Etudes en France, vous devez fournir une attestation de comparabilité de votre diplôme, à demander auprès de France Education International (https://www.france-education-international.fr/hub/reconnaissance-de-diplomes). En l'absence de présentation de cette attestation, au plus tard le jour de la rentrée, votre inscription sera annulée.”

I feel like an idiot, I didn’t realize this, I immediately submitted the request on FEI’s site but I know processing time is 4-6 months.

I was wondering if anyone has run into anything similar / if anyone knows about the likelihood of the university accepting proof of the dossier being en traitement in the mean time.

I am going to email the university with this question, but I am waiting a few days because I am on vacation with my family and if I find out I have to cancel all my moving and study plans it will for sure ruin the vacation. lol.
