Background verification: Official DOJ vs branch reporting date mismatch—has anyone faced this?

Advice

I recently accepted an offer from a new employer, and I'm anxious about a discrepancy in my previous employment dates.

My previous employer's offer letter states:

Orientation/training started on 19 June, and the appointment became effective from that date.

I was required to report to my assigned branch on 27 June after completing orientation.

When filling out my new employer's background verification form, I entered 27 June because I considered that my joining date (the day I actually reported to my branch).

However, my salary slips and likely my relieving letter use 19 May as the official date of joining.

I haven't been contacted by the BGV team yet, but I'm worried they'll see this as a mismatch.

Has anyone had a similar issue where a training/induction date differed from the operational joining/reporting date? If so:

Did the verifier ask for clarification?

Was it accepted after explanation?

Did it affect your offer?

I'm looking for first-hand experiences rather than guesses. Thanks.
