7 day wear infusion set

Hi everyone.

My son is moving over to the minimed 780g. 7 day wear infusion sets were ordered. Clinic lost them. Then reordered by the trainer to our home. My sons nurse was in the room while the trainer was ordering the 7 day sets.

Clinic has now rang asking us to hand them into them as it would be more financially viable for him to be on 3 day ones due to his high insulin needs.

Phoned medtronic and found out the clinic had also changed his consumables order to the 3 day without consulting us.

The clinic are now claiming it's not medically safe for him to be on the 7 day wear and that's why it was changed but something feels off here?? Does anyone know if this is true, that high insulin needs are at risk using the 7 day??
