My daughter (22) is moving to Colombia soon, any advise from Belgians who made the move to South America?

In a few weeks, my daughter is moving from Belgium to Colombia. She is in a relationship with a Colombian guy for about 4 years now, and wants to go and live there.

She was there for the winter in the past 3 years already, so she knows where she is heading to, but moving there permanently is of course another level.

So, being her dad, of course I worry.

I know she will be very welcome there, and will be taking care of, but I worry about her underestimating and overlooking the legal and administrative duties and consequences of this movement.

And because Belgians are not really big emigrants, there's not so much information to be found.

So therefore … a huge request for "experts by experience" to share their story, the do's and don'ts …
